These photos cover the same period as the Journey entry "Rosy Goes to Germany";  each thumbnail links through to a large (up to 73Kb!) version.

Wittenburg has some waterside sculptures. This ‘Ship of Fools’ rocks gently.

The "Ship of Fools" again. The little VW motor car emerging from the front...

... is backed-up by an elephant entering from the rear!!

Piping in the sun...

A cellist playing as dusk approaches.

The Mecklenburg lakes on a still day.

The Mecklenburg lakes on a still day. The two white dots are distant boats.

A boat moored up for the night. The only noise? Rosy’s engine as she chugged past!! Oh!! And the ducks, geese, heron, osprey, coots etc. etc.

A typical bit of built environment intrusion into the Mecklenburg lakes. Boats are popular. Many of the houses are thatched, as reeds grow everywhere. The wooden garages are boat houses, to protect the boats from the harsh winters. Many boathouses have living accommodation built up on the roof.

A brief series of photos of Fanny. (1) This is Fanny in early 2004 while we were still on our winter moorings at Conde-sur-Marne. (2 & 3) A rather large peniche moored behind us for a few days.

The Elbe Aqueduct.  There is no enlargement for this one, which was scanned from a brochure because I think it's a quite spectacular photograph.

And finally, a map of the Elbe.  It's big - 83Kb - but it shows where we have been, are now and will be in the future.
