When the Laird of Strathnaver recovered from our night out, he packed
his bags, and disappeared off to Strathnaver, leaving Jess the Woof with
me, and hoping to bring back a puppy for me. I say 'hoping' as he
doesn't yet know ('cos he hasn't yet asked) the birth date of the litter,
and they might be too young to be separated. If this is so, he will
come woofless to Briare, but return to Scotland in a week or whatever,
when they ARE old enough. Jess is now two years old, and is much
less active than she was six months ago - she now snoozes during
the day. She also needs a shower and shampoo once a week to counter
eczema.
All the boats in the Port de Plaisance in Briare are
having to leave the basin, as it is to be emptied (for two weeks in early
November) for cleaning. We are all moving to the pound above the
lock. I've been helping out by towing a couple of engineless boats.
Rosy and Falcon will move up to their new temporary moorings tomorrow
(Monday).
Er ... that's about it!!
Toodle pip!!
